My husband and I are visiting Paris in November. it won%26#39;t be a problem at the art museums. But can anyone tell us whether there are English language descriptions at the Maritime, Science, Anthropology museums among others? Names of any museums with English descriptions would be greatly appreciated. Also, any really reasonably priced eating places with reasonably good food.

I%26#39;m pretty sure most of the musuems offer some sort of guide in english. For food, where are you staying? That will help narrow down your options.
A couple suggestions to get started (these are in the 6th, so if you%26#39;re staying, say, in the 13th, this may not help you)...
l%26#39;Epi Dupin (11, Rue Dupin)
Chez Maitre Paul (12, rue Monsieur le Prince)
You may also want to do a search on %26quot;bistros%26quot; or %26quot;brasseries%26quot; in the forum to see which are recommended. They tend to be reasonably priced.
Enjoy your trip!

Chez Maitre Paul, once great, has really gone downhill.

We are staying in the 9e, but will be looking for places to eat near various museums. Glad to hear that many museums have something in English. We visited an enthnographic museum in Madrid and there was nothing in English. I managed with my Spanish, but I don%26#39;t have French. Thanks for your help.

You have to ask at many of the museums for the English Paper Guides that are free and some have audio-guides.
Sometimes the Louvre runs out of the paper map/guides. ( Hint ask for the handicap/stroller English guide it is better than nothing. I think you can also get an English Audio-guide here also.
A very wonderful museum is the Arts and Meters Museum every thing is posted in English but not only that they also have an English Audio guide that is only 1.5 to 2 Euros ( I think it was 1.5E).
The Anthropology Museum did not have an English guide last summer ( you mean the one in the 5Th Er?). Minerology museum had posts in English but no guide.
Make a point to ask because sometimes they are behind the counters. Also on free Sunday many museums are not permitted to hand out the guides ( That is what the docent told me at the Cluny Museum).

Outside the lower entrance to the Louvre ( the shopping mall area) is a food court with many selections of types of foods.
The Rodin Museum has a delicious cafe in the gardin area. Les Invalids has a reasonably priced cafe.
The D%26#39;Orsay Museum, the Eifflel tower both have ok priced snacks and pizza slices and sandwiches.
Do a %26quot; seach%26quot; for places to eat up in the%26quot; blank%26quot; and you can get a whole list of good places to eat. I just wrote the list down and took it with me.
The menus are posted on the outside of the dining places.
