Paris Apartment

Has anyone stayed in the Rue de Passy neighborhood in the 16th? We found a very nice apartment to rent there for 5 people. We just want to know about the neighborhood.

Is it through Paris Pied-a-terre?

I have some friends in that area. It%26#39;s very residential, but quite a nice neighborhood. It%26#39;s a little off-the-beaten path of tourist activities, but if want a bit of a quieter area, it could be a good choice.

If you want places that seem a little more lively at night, try the 4th, 5th or 6th Arr. We stayed in the 7th on the west side of the Champ du Mars last time and while it was fun being near the Eiffel Tower, the place was DEAD at night. Not that we were looking for crazy nightlife (travelling with our 2 young kids) but I mean there were no restaurants around, nobody walking on the street. It was safe, but just kind of dead feeling. Next time we%26#39;re staying in the Marais!

Yes, we are thinking of renting through Paris pied-a-terre. Are they reliable, do they give back your deposit? We are going with our 3 kids and really don%26#39;t mind quiet at night. We stayed in the 7th by the Eiffel Tower last year at a hotel and really liked that neighborhood. We tried to get that apartment but it was already booked. We ahve never rented before and I want to find someone reliable so we can use them again as we love Paris. Thanks for all of your help.

If anyone knows about Parispied-a-terre apartment rental service could they let me know. We are supposed to hear from Mr. Walid today on how to pay etc. Just want to make sure before we commit

Hey, Iroccafor, where is Groves? I am planning a first trip to Paris next summer, and also am looking to rent an apartment...think I have found mine thru vrbo.com in the 3rd.....so, far working with Paschal has been easy! Good luck to you...

Groves is in the southeastern part of Texas. Where Hurricane Rita hit last year. Our VRBO apartment is with Mr. Walid and his wife. They seem nice. We are bringing 3 kids (16,18,and 20). They heave never been to Paris. We plan on long days so we don%26#39;t mind the quiet neighborhood of the 16th. Plus the McDonald%26#39;s down the street doesn%26#39;t husrt for our very picky 16 year old eater. At least we know if worst comes to worst, he%26#39;ll eat that.
