I am thinking of going to Paris on Dec 28 or 29 and staying thru Jan 6. Question - Are museums and tourist attractions like Versailles open that week? Anyone know of any holiday closures?
Any other interesting suggestions? My husband will be in Paris for 2 months and will be working (nights - musician), so this limits our evenings a bit. From what I%26#39;ve read shopping is fine, but restaurants might be limited at that time........

We were there last year around that time. Everything is open. Paris has alot of tourists there at that time...So, everything is open.

From my research everything is closed on Christmas (major museums) except for the Eiffel Tower. Check their web sites for detailed information.

We have been in Paris twice at this time..it is lovely. Yes, a few restaurants may be closed for a short holiday but not many to be a bother. Certainly, many restaurants offer elaborate dinners for New Year%26#39;s Eve. My recollection is that the museums are closed on Christmas day (which I guess does not affect you) and on New Year%26#39;s Day but will be open the rest of the time. And, of course, shops are all open (last year we found a few open on Christmas day!)
