Which is the best , Best Western in Paris

Hello, still haven%26#39;t booked a room for August, but have discovered I can use my %26quot; Airmiles%26quot; to purchase hotel vouchers for a %26quot; Best Western Hotel%26quot;. I know that a boutique hotle would have more character, but saving money is a bonus for us, so having looked on the %26quot;Bestwestern site I see there are many of their hotels in Paris, some look a bit dumpy, or poorly located, so, which would would the Parisains on this forum( or those who have stayed at one) recommend as the best. Since I would have the vouchers I could afford a nicer hotel then if I just used cash.

Help!

A very nice BW is %26#39;Villa des Artistes%26#39; in the southern 6th arr. very close to the Luxembourg Gardens. Clientele is mainly European though.

Excellent hub for public transportation either by metro or bus.

VERY quiet street off Blvd. Montparnasse. Wonderful front staff, nice rooms/lobby. Small garden where you can have your breakfast. Terrific small bistrots in that neighbourhood next to the famous cafes on Blvd. Montparnasse.

I agree with Coco!! I saw that one%26#39;s website and wish I had the budget to stay there.

It%26#39;s in a lively area with great transportation connections but not so far you can%26#39;t walk to places.

A different way to figure it out is to just enter %26#39;Best Western%26#39; in the above search box (upper left, not the forum one). Then skim the comments for each hotel in the list...

I%26#39;d look into the Aramis and the Left Bank as well. Those should be good ones.

|||

Hello!

I%26#39;ve stayed at the BW Hotel Aramis once and it was a nice place. Small lobby, small rooms but clean. The best part is that it was about 50 feet from a metro stop (St. Placide) and there is a small general store right on the corner too. Skip their %26quot;breakfast%26quot; though, ten Euro for three pieces of bread, orange juice and coffee.

The best BestWestern in Paris is the Elysees Regencia. It%26#39;s a very good 4star hotel-for the price- with spacious rooms and good location. The hotel just undergone major renovations;it%26#39;s more stylish and modern now!

|||

To tell which is the best, one would have to stay in each of them and then, you%26#39;d only have the opinion of one or two visitors. IMO, it%26#39;s impossible to give a correct answer to that one. That%26#39;s why is said %26#39;a nice one is...%26#39;

|||

Depending on the revies here, the 4star standard and my previous experience at other 2 bestwestern in Paris(Colisee and Richepanse) the Regencia is more luxurious with better staff and more spacious rooms.Don%26#39;t forget that only 3-4 BW in Paris are 4 star properties.And also the hotel just undergone major renovations.

I fully agree with about 3 and 4 stars. I am happy you found %26#39;your%26#39; best BW. However, not everybody would be happy with staying on Avenue Marceau, although a very nice, upscale, safe avenue.

It%26#39;s difficult to find a better, more convenient neighborhood in Paris that that around the BW HOTEL LEFT BANK-SAINT GERMAIN (3-star) 9 rue de l%26#39;Ancienne Comedie, 75006, Metro ODEON--

This is a charming Parisian 3-star in an absolutely GREAT neighborhood and LOCATED within east strolling/walking distances of a great many sights and attractions, in a neighborhood with more than enough good restaurants, bistrots and cafes and all sorts of interesting shopping opportunities within easy strolling walking distance of the lobby. There are also several excellent Metro lignes and public bus route close-at-hand to take you anywhere else in Paris you want to go when you%26#39;re too lazy to stroll. This immediate neighborhood also %26#39;..flows..%26#39; seamlessly into other interestion neighborhoods of the 5eme-Latin Quarter, 4eme-Iles/lower Marais and 1eme--Louvre/Tuileries along the Seine.

By the way, the various Best Western hotels in Paris are all individually owned and managed hotel properties, who simply use the Best Western reservations and salews/marketing systems. They are NOT %26#39;..chain hotels..%26#39;.

We stayed at the Opera D%26#39;Antin which is very convenient for shopping (it backs on to the Galleries Lafayette) and has a number of Metro stations close by. Rooms are small but bigger than many others. The staff were very friendly and helpful and most spoke good English.
