Just purchased these from Nordstrom on sale and I highly recommend them. They look sporty but not too ugly and have great arch and heel support. They do run small. I am a size 10 and had to get a size 11. I will definitely be wearing these on my next trip to Paris.
Also, the shoes look white on the Nordstrom site but they are really more of a pearl/bone off-white color.

Enjoy your new shoes, Mascara. It%26#39;s always nice to find a pair that are very comfortable. My next- trip -to -Paris shoes are Skechers - I%26#39;ve got 2 pairs.

Dang! computer won%26#39;t let me open the site! I will have to see them in person! Working on insurance claims today for the two incidents that occurred on my trip!

Thanks to al the posters on the forum, on my next trip to Paris I intend to wear a pair of tennis shoes. I have never worn tennis shoes when travelling. I bought them because so many people commented on all the different coloured tennis shoes people were wearing in Paris, so I got a pair of black retro hi-top Jordan Air%26#39;s with bright orange and brilliant red bits and stitching that I will wear with black jeans and my 70%26#39;s red consignment shop Valentino coat, with lots of layers for next March.
The shoes fit like slippers with good sole and arch support. Now the question is, will I still be tempted by the new models of Arche, which I am sure is one of my major vices.

Shoesy- which sketcher%26#39;s are you thinking? I%26#39;ve been looking at them as well as some from Riekers also- any experience with those? How expensive are Arche shoes in Paris?

Mascara --
Cute shoes! Thanks for the tip. I%26#39;m always on the lookout for good walking shoes because that%26#39;s a BIG issue for me. When I went to Paris in July, I wore sandals on the plane. The airlines lost my luggage including my trusty Mephistos which I had methodically broken in, so I was stuck with only the sandals. The best laid plans.....The shoes didn%26#39;t catch up with me until I got back home! I learned an important lesson: wear my good shoes on the plane!

Mascara, now that%26#39;s a sale. Hope they are comfy as I bought a pair. But at that price, I can always give em%26#39; a good try.
AuntViv, last time I was in Paris last March I paid about $120.00 less then the Arche shoes I get in Palm Desert (the closest store to me) and they had a better selection AND many more colours available. I have to admit, I bought 3 pairs. I put on one pair right then and wore it off and one with another for the of rest of the week, they were so comfortable. One pair was definately a summer pair so it had to wait til I got home.

Nice Mascara! Try these Riekers for with slacks: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7196747.html and these with a skirt:

Good luck Gomac! The best part about Nordys is that you can return them if they are not to your liking! The thing I like about them is the arch support.

Oh and note to Tellurian: Thanks again for hooking me up with Gail @ Perfectly Paris. I%26#39;ll be staying in one of her apts. again in November.

You are so welcome, Mascara; I am going to a PerfectlyParis apartment (La Belle Epoque, this time) with my husband and 2 friends --- NEXT WEEK ---- yippee!
