Just Arrived

Bonjour!!!!

We just arrived and got the keys to our apartment, and holy cow!!! there%26#39;s a laptop here for our use. A totally unexpected surprise. Yay!!! I get to keep up with TA while I%26#39;m here, and it has a US keyboard, so I can actually type on it. Heading out to lunch, but will send a few reports here and there.

a la prochaine.....

What%26#39;s the weather like?

|||

ArrowCapet - you lucky potato !!!

Keep the steaming hot news from our beloved Paris coming !

|||

Hi Arrow, Our man on the ground. I fly out to London on Ist October and will toast you for your 40th on the plane. Have a fantastic time in Paris and a really happy birthday next Sunday.

|||

%26gt; What%26#39;s the weather like?

Mild, sunny, not too fresh but looking like the last days of summer early days of autumn.

ArrowCarpet watch out for the way the late evening sun lights up the stonework on the churches.

Hi Arrow!

Judging by the time of your post you must have had a much easier time getting through CDG than we did...

You can thank me later for ensuring that your aircraft arrived on time. Meanwhile thanks to you for the tips re getting to/from DTW which worked out splendidly.

Paris is its usual splendid self. Don%26#39;t miss the Titian exhibit at the Musée du Luxembourg.

Have a wonderful stay!

Today%26#39;s weather has been just amazing. Cool...a few clouds, but the sun peeked out occassionally....didn%26#39;t need a jacket. We%26#39;re heading up to the Sacre Coeur (the apartment is just a stone%26#39;s throw) to take advantage of the beautiful evening in case we don%26#39;t get another. Shopped at Ed%26#39;s for water and a few things for the pad....which we%26#39;re loving more and more. This place has everything.

Had an early dinner on the Quai de Tournelles at an adorable little place called l%26#39;auberge de notre dame for 20 euros each. I had a delicious %26quot;Piece de boeuf sauce poivre%26quot;, which was really a peppery roquefort with a side of ratatoui or however that%26#39;s spelled, and yummy yummy pommes gratinee. The sauce was to die. Sherry has a grilled lamb that was ok...but didn%26#39;t compare to mine.

Anyway...it%26#39;s just wonderful to be back....we walked quite a bit today without really doing too much of anything. And I%26#39;m off now to head up to the Sacre Coeur.

Personal to Irish: Glad the directions worked. It was the smoothest flight ever! Thank you milles fois for getting the plane in on time.

More to come....

How exciting to hear from you WHILE you%26#39;re in Paris! We all love the city, and are so jealous. I can just picture myself on those steps of SC looking out over the city. So many memories!

Have the best time,

T

Continue posting, Arrow, but not if it keeps you from doing something Parisy. (Is that an adjective?)
