children. We are visiting a relative that just moved onto Rue Montaigne. I would love some tips on a few local convienences, such as, food markets, child friendly cafes and places for the children to play (of course with me). How far is the Metro...in blocks or streets from our location. Is it easy walking with little ones??
How much would cab fare be just heading out to a few nearby sites such as the Eiffel Tower, or the Tuileries???
Is it pretty safe to take strolls around that area in the evening??
Wow I know I have tons of questions....any advice would be so greatly appreciated!!!!! Merci
R. L.

Is it rue or avenue Montaigne?
If it is avenue Montaigne, it is one of the wealthiest places in the city, with all the luxury fashion brands. It%26#39;s a not really a place with cafes (except at Pont de l%26#39;Alma) , restaurants or markets. It is not child unfriendly. From there you could have a walk in the nearby Champs-Elysées gardens.
It%26#39;s not very busy at night, but I can%26#39;t imagine it being unsafe. The metro stations closest to avenue Montaigne are Franklin D. Roosevelt and Pont de l%26#39; Alma, located at both ends of Avenue Montaigne.
I very much doubt a taxi would accept to pick you up at Montaigne to go to the Tuileries or te Eiffel Tower, considering the short distances. Both places are a short metro ride away.
