My mum and i go to Paris once a year for a few days..time out from kids/dogs/husbands etc! Can anyone tell me which is the best Metro ticket for us to buy..we arrive next Tuesday and fly home late Friday evening. We would like to take a day trip to Vernon and go back to Giverny, but realise that we need to get a spearate ticket for this.
Also, having been several time before we have done the various things like the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, Fontainbleau, we would like to see some different things this time..any suggestions?
Many thanks.

On a city bus you don%26#39;t put it through the machine. You just show it to the driver.

Have you been to the Branly, we really liked it, depends on your interests, shopping- how about in the marais, museums- how about the newly opened museum of decorative arts at the louvre.

You and your mother need to consult a good current guidebook and each make a wishlist - you might also wish to consult one of the Paris walks books - since you%26#39;re familiar with the city, walking through one of the %26quot;hidden%26quot; old neighbourhoods might be just the ticket -

The métro ticket issue depends on how much underground travel you%26#39;ll do: you could just take a weekly Carte Orange coupon 2 zones for these four days, but if you spend one day in Normandy, then it might not be worth it at the end of the day. You could do your maths by checking the different prices on ratp.fr.
