Hello,
I%26#39;m going for a long weekend and will be staying in Dinan. Can anyone recommend particularly good walks within an hour%26#39;s drive? Ideally, I%26#39;d like to find ones that are at least 3 hours long, with good views.
Thank you!

Hi,
I%26#39;m not sure I can directly help, since the walk I%26#39;m going to recommend is rather further. I was in Brittany last week and enjoyed a spectacular walk along the %26#39;Côte de granit rose%26#39;. It is one of the %26#39;sentier des douaniers%26#39; walks and starts from the %26#39;plage de Trestraou%26#39; in Perros-Guirec. It provides spectacular views of the ocean walking alongside huge pink granite boulders. However, there is another %26#39;sentier des douaniers%26#39; to the East of St.Malo which leaves from Cancale. We didn%26#39;t have time to do this walk, however. Cancale is interesting as an oyster / mussels port in itself and not too far from Dinan.
There are walks along the entire coast called the %26#39;grande randonnée%26#39; (GR34), also going all the way down to Dinan. I suggest you look into those also.
Enjoy Bretagne!

I found this on the list of publications on a tourist information website:
Touring the Pays de Dinan on foot and by bike
Pays touristique de Dinan - Centre Culturel - Le Grand Clos - 22100 DINAN
Tel : 02 96 39 62 64 - Fax : 02 96 85 33 30

If you can read French, there is also a topoguide, called Le Pays de Dinan à pied : 39 Promenades et randonnéees from www.ffrandonnee.fr or amazon.fr It%26#39;s 12.95 euros
