Hi. I have 2 sons and a daughter, aged 4, 6 and 8 years. The oldest two have been asking to visit the Eiffel tower and so we are planning a trip which combines a couple of days in Paris and a couple of days at disneyland. My children are reasonably well behaved but we have had problems in the past where we have stayed at hotels where the other guests have been not so friendly towards young children. I would be so grateful if anyone has any advice about hotels which might suit us.

Rooms for five are kind of hard to come by in Paris. I can recommend the Novotel chain as being particularly family friendly and they have a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. If you want to be a bit closer to the action, the Citadines apartment Hotel chain is also family friendly and has several addresses throughout the city.

Hate to state the obvious, but perhaps your children are not as quiet as you think. You stated that it was the other guests who were not so friendly to your children, not the hotel staff. Are your children noisey? Unfortunately the nature of most hotels are paper thin walls, nothing one can do about that I suppose except constantly shussing the kids. You can pick a hotel , but you can%26#39;t pick your room neighbors! LOL
I have three kids so I do realize that even if your kids are reasonablely well behaved that noise can be a factor. Also, a pet peeve of many is kids running through public areas( lobby, stairs etc).
I would think renting an apartment might be a really good option, probaly not as thin walls, and more space for your kids to relax in.

Yes I think you%26#39;re right. My kids can be noisy, just like most children of their age, particularly on holiday when they can be excited or tired and grumpy. When my husband and I travel by ourselves, we too like to have a quiet, adult space to relax in. That%26#39;s part of the reason we%26#39;re trying to make sure we pick the right sort of place where we won%26#39;t feel we%26#39;re spoiling other people%26#39;s holidays.

By the way, thanks for the suggestions about apartments or apart-hotels which I will follow up.

I agree that an apartment might suit your needs.
The Hotel le Tourville has a nice family suite, I don%26#39;t know how many it sleeps but it%26#39;s large. ANd located right near the Eiffel Tower.
