Hi,
Can anyone advise how I can get from the Charles d Gaulle Airport to Gare D Lyon? I need the cheapest option (metro maybe?) and just to help matters..I don%26#39;t speak French so would need detailed directions.
Many Thanks,
Wendy

If you have luggages or heavy bags to carry with you, I wouldn%26#39;t recommend taking the Metro...Too many stairs to carry them in the Metro. Also, sometimes you%26#39;re forced to change trains and might end up in train stops alone as a tourist. This happened to us. We felt eerie at times at some stops when a group of guys hanging out at the stops were staring at us and our bags. Try to use a shuttle (Air France/Roissy) bus and then taxi it to the train station (18 Euros). Or, use a blue van shuttle that would take you there (25 Euros). Don%26#39;t take a taxi directly from CDG, it will cost you alot (40 Euros).
Hope this helps...

Take a cab especially if you have luggage.
OR take RER to Chatelet and then change to metro 14 to gare de Lyon.

Bluvan for two persons cost 14.5 Euros each not 25 Euros.
Cheapest way is the 8 Euros via the RER / Metro to Gare de Lyon as the last person recommended.

Discover...If you read carefully the information on the site (paris-blue-airport-shuttle.fr/order_en.php), it indicates to add 9E for single person:
%26quot;14.50 € per person maximum (for 2 people or more, round-trip between 06h00 am and 04h00 pm).
Extra charge for single 9€%26quot;
This site clearly shows that the prices - one-way or roundtrip by how many people:
paris-blue-airport-shuttle.fr/prices_roissy.…
I%26#39;ve done this trip before in all ways - taxi, train, shuttle bus...This is why I know...
Hope this helps...

%26gt;%26gt; OR take RER to Chatelet and then change to metro 14 to gare de Lyon. %26lt;%26lt;
It%26#39;s absolutely unnecessary to change forLine 14 (which involves getting to the main concourse of Châtelet and passing through one more ticket barrier), when there is a _cross-platform_ connection between RER B southbound and RER A eastbound at ClH.
Just get off the RER B train and walk to the other side of the platform to board the first RER A train.
And then there%26#39;s the AF bus connection - direct from CDG to Gare de Lyon.

Thanks for all the options. Plans have altered slightly and I now need to get to Gare de Part Dieu or Perrache. Same departure location. Its just one person and I%26#39;ll have a small weekend bag so don%26#39;t mind walking up and downstairs. Many thanks again, Wendy x

Part Dieu and Perrache are train stations ... in Lyon !
Gare de Lyon is the station in Paris where begins the %26quot;Imperial%26quot; PLM train line (Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée) leaves.
