I am looking around for hotels for a 3 night stay in Nice before we head off down the coast for a couple off weeks, probably Eurocamping.
Is the Hotel Regence suitable for little kids, are the rooms big enough? will the street noise be a problem.
Any other recommendations or suggestions will be welcome.

We, [hubby and I ] returned from a short stay at the Regence last wednesday [boo hoo] , we were well satisfied with the room, although it was on the small side and had only a shower, not a bath. However, we had a junior room, you can also book a classic or superior room for an extra charge. The staff couldn%26#39;t have been nicer or more helpful, I suggest you e-mail them on hotelregence@wanadoo.fr and ask about a suitable room for your family.
On the point of street noise, we never heard a thing, as far as I could make out, all the rooms face inward onto a courtyard and are very peaceful.
One thing you may wish to consider for your children, the breakfast consists of - orange juice, tea, coffee, and one bread roll, one croissant, one pain au chocolat per person with butter and jams. and also Laughing Cow cheese portions. You may wish to take a little extra something with you that you know they will eat otherwise ----- I know how good children are at finding the nearest McWhatsits and there are two of those around the corner !
On the whole, it%26#39;s a very clean, friendly place and perfectly situated for everything.
I hope this is of some help to you and you enjoy your stay in Nice.

We stayed at the Regence Hotel in July and were very pleased with the hotel and the very pleasant and helpful staff.
Our room was called a Superior room and was large by French standards. We had a shower over the bath and the bathroom was well equipped and quite big.
There was a young couple staying there with small children. I noticed that they had brought a pusher with them for the baby.
I should say that you would be very comfortable at the Regence.

I should also mention that our room looked on to the pedestrian shopping precinct and we were never troubled by noise. The windows must be double glazed because it was very quiet.
The position is very good. It is only a few minutes from the beach, the Promenades des Anglais and all the main restaurants, cafes and shops like Galeries Lafayette.
