Left Bank Hotel????

Hi,

My wife and I are travelling to Paris the weekend of 16th December for our wedding anniversary. We have stayed in Montmartre before, but this time feel we want to experience the left bank in Saint Germain and the latin quarter. Has anybody stayed in a real nice hotel that they can recommend. Maybe one that has escaped many reviewers. We%26#39;d probably look to spend £125 per night tops.

Thanks in advance

I can guarantee you there is NO very nice hotel in the Latin Qtr or St Germain that has %26#39;escaped%26#39; reviewers. Those are 2 of the most heavily visited locations in Paris. There are, however, many nice hotels so that part is not a problem.

Your price is about 185€ if google converted it correctly.

You might check out Hotel Le Regent in the 6th. I stayed there several years ago and enjoyed it. Tthe rooms are small, but nicely decorated.

It%26#39;s on Rue Dauphine, very close to the Metro, lots of restaurants, etc.

I recommend Hotel de L%26#39;Esperance for cleanliness, spacious rooms, very good location (at the lower, not so touristy, end of Rue Mouffetard) - and for unbeatable rates. AND for having an ice-machine in the lobby so you can have cold drinks in your room.
