We%26#39;re going on an independent walking holiday in the Loire in September. Can anyone recommend a firm, such as a taxi company, that will transport our luggage from hotel to hotel? We%26#39;d like to make arrangements before we set off.

Hello Leish,
I have also just starting researching this same subject. I will post anything that I discover. My wife and I are doing a bicycling tour in September and each morning want to send our luggage on to the next hotel. I know that in Germany and Switzerland there is a rail service that does this in some places. One hotel I contacted also suggested a taxi service, but again, I am looking for alternatives. As a last resort and great bother, I will be contacting each hotel and see if they can pick up the luggage in advance for that coming evening (uggh!).
I would really appreciate it if you could please let me know what you may find out.
Cheers,
Joe

I would suggest googling the tourist offices of the places you might be staying overnight . You should find an email address and telephone number either of which might get you an answer to your question.
That said, I am unaware of any such service being offered as a normal thing in any area of France to individual walkers/cyclists. The organized walking/cycling tour operators do this for their clients of course.

I followed a car into Marce airport (Angers) a few weeks ago that advertised a service similar to this. %26#39;Loire walking holidays%26#39;, or somthing on the back of the vehicle. Sounds stupid, but have you tried googling?
