We will be in Paris from 10/1-10/6. I just checked 10-day weather forecast for Paris at weather.com, and found out that there would be showers every day next week. Can anyone tell me how much rain we should expect in Paris? Should I pack my rain jacket?? Any info or experiences will be helpful since I will start packing tomorrow. Thanks!

If the weather forecast says rain every day, then , yes, of course take a rain jacket. It won%26#39;t be a %26quot; warm spring rain%26quot; . Even when not raining the air is damp.

Its still warm, 20C + at the moment. They have said showers for a few weeks, yet it has barely rained.
Showers are just showers in Paris, its so rare to have a whole day of rain. A light rain jacket is fine, plus you can always buy a cheap brolly whilst here.

Wow, thanks a lot for the info, Zasuna! I’ll pack my light rain jacket, as you suggested, and a small umbrella. Can%26#39;t wait!! :-)

edokko, I would never let a Paris forcast depress me or make me too optomistic. First, the 10 day forcast will most likely change between today and next week. Also, I noticed a 10 degree F temp difference between the forcast on weather.com and www.wunderground.com. Best thing is to be prepared for just about anything except extreme heat and extreme cold. Sometimes I think the weather man puts 50% chance of rain showers in Paris for everyday of the year...lol. But, I also have never seen torrential downpours, just rain showers.

For all it%26#39;s worth, the record of the longest rainpour in Paris is 36 hours, in the late seventies.

We too will be in Paris at the same time. Last time we were there weather.com forcast rain for the whole time and guess what we didn%26#39;t have any so lets hope they have it wrong again. Enjoy your trip
