Hi,

You may already have your answer, but here goes: Here in the USA we%26#39;re on 110v. In Paris, it%26#39;s 220v. Newer appliances (possibly your curling iron) are usually dual voltage. This means that there should be a setting that you can change from 110v to 220v. Your camera charger is mostly likely not dual voltage.

There are two things to think about: one is that you need a converter to %26quot;convert%26quot; your items from 110v to 220v. The adaptor (used after you%26#39;re sure you%26#39;re on 220v) is because the plugs there are different than the plugs here. So you will need the converter to convert, and the adaptor so that you can plug your stuff into the outlet. You can get cheap ones on Ebay. Be careful because if you happen to be moving around the country, it%26#39;s super easy to leave the adaptor plugged into the wall! If that happens, most hotels have boxes full of the adaptors that other guests have mistakenly left, and usually they%26#39;re happy to loan you one. Hope this helps!

Look on your charger. Mine had a tiny switch to change from 110 to 220. I forgot about the switch when we went to use it and blew out the lights in the hotel room and ruined my charger.
