Can you recommend a "meet and Greet" at CDG?

I%26#39;m posting this for a friend who is traveling with 2 others and arriving CDG on Wed Oct 4th at about 2:Pm She is visiting people who live right behind Radio Paris! ( this is all %26quot;foriegn %26quot; to me but I%26#39;m trying to help her out).

She will have 3 suitcases and would like easy transportation from CDG to Radio Paris.

Can anyone recommend a good %26quot; meet and greet:%26quot;? She said taking a taxi would be too expensive. Would a %26quot;meet and greet %26quot; be more ??

Thanks

Judie

Radio Paris... erm, I don%26#39;t want to be picky, but that was the name of the German-occupation-forces radio that broadcast over Paris during WWII ... hence the famous sentence %26quot;Radio-Paris ment, Radio Paris est allemand!%26quot; (Radio-Paris is lying, Radio Paris is German%26quot;!

Now, let%26#39;s be serious. I bet you mean the Maison de la Radio [some very old Parsians may remember it as %26quot;Maison de l%26#39;ORTF%26quot;] on Ae du Président Kennedy, in the 16th. It%26#39;s a very respectable area, very quiet and with wonderful buildings. I personnaly love the Maison de la Radio.

I will give you the public transport solution, which is simple :

Take the Air France bus Line#2 to Arc de Triomphe, then a taxi to %26quot;Maison de la Radio%26quot;. 12 euros for the former and no more for the latter.

A little more insight on Radio Paris : the first French private radio station became Radio Paris in 1924. It was bought back by the State in the %26#39;30s. It was one of the stations that pioneered advertising. During the occupation, the German forces used it as their propaganda tool.

I%26#39;m embarrased. BUT,,,I did tell you this was not for me and I know nothing of either Paris or France.....So You are educating me.

I%26#39;m passing all this on to her and thank you. Sounds like she%26#39;s not going to get the relaxing , hop in and rest while I drive you. Is that too expensive??

Well, there *are* shuttles that offer a %26quot;meet-and-greet%26quot; service, but as reading this forum will tell you, it%26#39;s not extremely popular in France. But it%26#39;s possible. Google for Paris shuttle or look up the threads for more info !

FYI, a taxi fare will be in the 50 - 60 euro range, a shuttle is generally 19. The AF bus is a very reliable option (but with 3 suitcases, I can understand her reluctance) !

Oh, and don%26#39;t worry about the history bit. You can tell her that she will be close to the Eiffel Tower!
