Hello,
I have an AF reservation for Brussels-Montreal, which consists of a Thalys train ride from Brussels-CDG and a CDG-Montreal AF flight. I am wondering if anyone can tell me the procedures for connecting from the Thalys to the flight segment. Since I will have a checked in luggage, it is to my understanding that I will have to pick up my luggage from the train and re-check it in again at CDG. Will 1hr 20min be enough for this connection?
Thanks.

The TGV / SNCF train station at %26#39;..Aeorport CDG 2-TGV..%26#39; is and intergal part of the CDG #2 terminal complex. It is located directly between CDG #2-C %26amp; C and CDG # 2-E %26amp; F. Most likely, your outbound Air France flight to Montreal will depart from CDG # 2-F. Getting from the THALYS arrival platform at the TGV station to the check-in area (#2-F...but check with AF to confirm) for your outbound AF flight should take no more than a few 5-10 minutes with your luggage.
The potential problems arise when you get to the AF check-in area and you must wait in line for flight check-in and then pass through airport ssecurity (carry-on restrictions are still a %26#39;work-in-progress%26#39;) to arrive at your departure gate. In a %26#39;..perfect world..%26#39;, 1:20 hr (80 minutes) MIGHT be enough time...but in the %26#39;..real world..%26#39; , you would be better served if you had at least 2-to-3 hours between THALYS arrival and your outbound AF flight departure. Long airport check-in and security delays at CDG are NOT in the least un-common.
