We%26#39;ve already booked our flight from the US to Paris for next May (had to book early - used frequent flyer miles). Now we need to book flights from CDG to Heathrow to continue the trip - probably using BMI. How early should I book these?
Also, I know to arrive at the airport 3 hrs. in advance for US to Europe flights, but what about these short hops within Europe? Still 3 hrs.?

Good! you have lots of time to call travel agents, put your name on the different travel alert e-mails, look on web sites, and call brokers for the best flight price!
I always get there early for flight check ins especially not knowing what to expect in this day and age!
I check the internet every two days or so and watch for specials unitl I think I am getting a good price and then I lock it in. I have found that Dec. Jan and Feb are good months to get good prices depending on destinations and airlines.

ASAP, fares go up the closer to the departure date.
Worth a look on opodo.com to see if BA or AirFrance can beat the BMI price.

On the flybmi.com site, the prices are a few euros plus tax. Book as soon as you know the dates you want to fly.
Of course the tax is almost 100 euros these days :-(
