Bateaux Mouche Versus Bateaux Parisien

Which do you recommend - Bateaux Mouche or Bateaux Parisien - and why? Aside from cost, what%26#39;s the difference?

Just looking for an evening cruise (no dinner) on the Seine River...

I used Bateaux Parisiens for an evening cruise when I visited in June. Although the sights were gorgeous, I was a bit envious of the other boats (including Bateaux Mouche) that had open tops. Parisiens didn%26#39;t. So, if you wanted to take a quick picture, you had to hang out the glass covering or move to the back of the boat. Also, I had a bit of difficulty hearing the commentary on the speaker system. This may be the case for all of the boat tours though. I%26#39;m going back again in January and wanted to take another evening cruise...we%26#39;ll go with Bateaux Mouche this time.....if they even run in January?

I love the Vedettes du POnt Neuf. They are smaller boats, and usually use a live guide. I took one last week and the guide was a student in tourism. She was really sweet and energetic. The boat had the open top, etc., and the location to meet it is at the tip of the Ile de la Cite...couldn%26#39;t be more central.

It%26#39;s 10 euros, but they offer a 2 euro discount on their website.

I second the Vedettes du POnt Neuf. Very convenient location for most people, good prices, nice ride and view.
