Great places to go in Paris on second week of December

If you wanted to offer great memories to your (non-French) girlfriend during this period, where would you take her? If you are a girl, where would you like your boyfriend to take you in Paris?

Thanks for the help :)

Wow ... it feels lonely here ;)

Hi Sleidia,

I think it%26#39;s really sweet that you want to plan this.

Every girl is different and has different tastes. It might help if you could let the board know what she likes and then I bet the board

experts could give you some great ideas.

For instance I love cathedrals and was happy when a guy I was dating took me to the St. Louis Cathedral in NOLA. However one of my best friends would not have enjoyed that.

Just being in Paris itself is romantic.

Good Luck!

For winter , it would be vieweing the Sacre Couer church and city scenery and walking around the Montmarte area. Get an artist to paint a picture of you and her for lasting memories. Have lunch there and walk around...Stopping at times for a kiss once in a while.

For summer, start at the Tuileries garden and walk across the bridge. Continue walking until you arrive at Trocadero and climb the Eiffel tower before sunset. At sun down, take her on a Seine river cruise....

Goodluck!!!

Thanks for helping everyone ;)

With the exception of the Eiffel tower ( I%26#39;m subject to vertigo ) we%26#39;ve already done everything listed above last summer .... ahahah :)

I did show her so many things already ( Versailles, Opera, Montmartre, Notre-Dame, Canal st Martin, .... etc. )

Now, I have to beat that during next winter ! That%26#39;s tough !

I already plan to show her the Christmas illuminations which will be already in place I think. Then, the animated showcases at %26quot;Printemps%26quot;, the coast of Normandy ( but this is outside of Paris ), and then .... I%26#39;m out of ideas :(

I think I should show her things that are the most enjoyable during this period only. And I bet it will be freezing.

Txbella : I know it%26#39;s rare, but she is the kind of girl who enjoys anything . And most of all, she likes to be with me ;)

I was going to suggest the window displays at Printemps, but you beat me to it. Also, there%26#39;s ice skating at Hotel de Ville, and someone mentioned skating at Gare Montparnasse the other day also (maybe it was Phread?). Last year there was a neat Christmas market out at La Defense.

Thanks Annette :)

I%26#39;ll try to know more about the ice skating events.

Never heard of that!

Wow...This girl is lucky!!! A lot of men can learn from you.

Now, on to the next thing to impress her:

Your idea about Printemps is great too! How about including a dinner at Le Bel Canto?

Opera singers at your service. They sang lots of famous Opera love songs...

This restaurant was unique for those who didn%26#39;t grow up listening to Opera...I got to appreciate this and realize how romantic it is to listen to this type of music...

Hope this helps..

Go to this for a demo what you will hear and experience at Bel Canto:

Ahahaha ... interesting ;)

I%26#39;m afraid the atmosphere could get a little bit too cheasy for my taste .... but why not!

Thanks again !
