cost in USD for TGV from paris to avignon?

I was on the raileurope.com website looking for train tickets economy class from Paris CDG to Avignon and it comes out to approx $600 USD roundtrip for 2 adults in the month of Sept. Does that sound correct? Seems a little expensive? Is there any other train we can take from Paris (CDG) to Avignon? Thank you!

I really do not know - hang tight - there are a few wonderful experts here - you may try posting on the Paris forum to get a response. they%26#39;ll let you know which is closer or what you may have to do. I plan on going next year in Sept and I have not hammered out all the details in regards to which station yet.

have a wonderful trip

There are direct trains from CDG to Avignon TGV. If you book with RailEurope, you will pay hugely more than you would if you book with www.sncf.fr. At SNCF, the booking will be priced in Euros and you will have to determine the Euro rate to the dollar to determine the price in U.S. Dollars. Right now it is somewhere in the vicinity of .27 percent more on the dollar side.

I suggest you do a search on MorganB%26#39;s post on how to book train tickets with sncf. I have not read it, but it is posted here that it is excellent. You can print out your tickets at home if you have a printer, or pick them up at ANY SNCF station in France (be sure to print out all your booking details to take with you to SNCF in France.) Also be sure to bring whatever credit card you used to book online to France to provide as proof to the SNCF office.

The full tarif price between CDG and Avignon TGV is between 88 and 116 Euros (one way). I have NEVER had to pay those prices, but I am offering them to you as a guideline. The least I have paid is 16 euros (one way), the most 80 euros (one way). It is easy to find the station at CDG and easy to come back to if you are using the train to get back to a departure flight out of CDG.

Not sure if that helps, but others will be along here soon.
