Location question in the 6th

I am trying to weigh the pros and cons of two different places to stay with my husband and three children (ages 9,7 and 4). Our children have not been to Paris before so we will be doing alot of the major tourist attractions but would like to be able to give them a taste of French life through the markets and neighborhoods.

The first option is on Rue Victor Cousin near the Pantheon and Sorbonne. It is on the Luxembourg Line.

The second option is on Rue de Sevres near the Sevres Babylone or Saint Suplice metro stations.

It seems like the Rue de Sevres is better located for using the metro but it seems like a really busy street. The Rue Victor Cousin might have a slightly nicer %26quot;neighborhood%26quot; feel but a little less accessible to the metro (but maybe the bus is a reasonable alternative in this location?).

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Choice #1 on Rue Victor Cousin is on the east side of St. Michel and therefore the 5th, not 6th arrondissement. Both are good locations. I do not know exactly where on Rue de Sevres you are looking, but I would recommend using the virtual map link below to take a look at your address to see how busy it is. R.V cousin is a good and not too noisy location. You are very close to ST. Michel and only a few blocks from the Seine. Personally, I think being slightly north or east of where you are on Sevres would be more favorable and convenient. So, I would probably go with the Rue Victor Cousin if it were me, but I am sure to get some who debate my opinion on that.

I would do Rue Victor Cousin. The Sevres Babylone metro stop is in a very busy area, as is the Saint Sulpice (although less than Sevres Babylone). You%26#39;d probably have a bit more peace at Victor Cousin.
