I%26#39;ve read other trip advisor entries and understand that for transportation, the Carte Orange is the best but is valid only from Mon-am to Sun-pm. I also believe it would include travel to Versailles. Would it be good for travel to Giverny?
The problem is that we arrive on a Sat and depart on the following Sat, and clearly would expect to sightsee on Sat afternoon and on the Sunday. What do you consider the most versatile pass for a seven day stay starting on a Sat?
Also, we are not huge museum/gallery people, but I have to figure that there must be good value and time savings in having a 6-7 day pass that gets you in to a lot of places. Have you had a good experience with a particular pass or is there only one major one?
Thanks anyone for sharing your experience with me--we leave this Friday night

Even though you could not use the Carte Orange on your 1st Saturday it still would be a good deal at 16 euro for a week (considering a single way is around 0.90 euro when you buy the Carnet of 10 tickets). So you could get a Carnet of 10 tickets that you would use on your 1st two days the use the Carte Orange.
BTW you need to buy the most expensive Carte Orange if you want to use it for Versailles (Zone 5). I%26#39;d suggest you get the cheapest Carte Orange (Zones 1 and 2) and get the Zone 5 tickets single tickets when you go to Versailles. This way you%26#39;d saved but also if you ever change your mind and don%26#39;t go to Versailles you won%26#39;t be spending for nothing on a Zone 5 Carte Orange.
You need train tickets for Giverny and the Carte Orange is useless to go to Giverny (apart from your trip from your hotel to the train station of course)
The Mobilis Carte may also be an option.
Musem Pass is great for not waiting in line and worth it mainly because of that (and after all when you spend all that $ to go to Paris do you really bother about a few euros saving?)
