Roman ruins in Aquitaine

My web research has informed me that Roma ruins in this area are more or less crumbling remnants of ancient structures.

Anyone aware of more intact structures in this region.

There are some scattered roman ruins in the Aquitaine region, but inded they are not as spectacular and well preserved as those of Provence.

Among the most noteworthy places in Aquitaine:

- The amphitheatre, fragments of aquaduct and arch in Saintes (Charente-Martime)

- The theatre at Les Bouchaud (in the middle of the countryside), the Baths at Chassenon in the Charente)

- The Moulin du Fâ (in the countryside of Charente-maritime)

- Parts of the amphitheatre in Bordeaux, called the Palais Gallien

- The tour de Vésone (former temple), and a few arches of the - amphitheatre, the interesting Vesuna Museum (modern glass structure built on the ruins of a villa) in Périgueux, and the villa of Montcaret (Dordogne)

The roman villa at Montmorin and the amphitheatre at Vieille-Toulouse( Haute-Garonne).

If you have an interest in archeology , many local museums boast collections of gallo roman artifacts, the most interesting ones being those of Saintes, Bordeaux and Périgueux.

There are also a couple of villa sites in the Medoc including the Bois Caree but I certainly didn%26#39;t find any structures to match those in Provence or the Porta Negra in Trier!
