I would be travelling to Lourdes for the first time from Paris in Oct. I need advice on accomodation. Preferably some place nice/clean and not too expensive of EUR 50-60 and below. B%26amp;B can be considered as well. Most likely travelling solo.
How many days should I stay? Any recommendations?

You can see most of the Lourdes in a day or two.
Add an extra day for trips to Biaritz etc.
To take part in all the ceremonies, maybe three days is better, especially if you plan to travel over a weekend, as the baths close for part of Sunday.
As for accomodation, there are literally thousands of hotels.
If you want somewhere about 50 a night, somewhere like the St. Sauver is a very nice 3* hotel for about 65 a night. It%26#39;s right beside the sanctuaries. Most hotels are very basic, but you can get one that%26#39;s clean and close by for around €25 a night. One%26#39;s that I%26#39;ve stayed in and that spring to mind are the Tara, Vatican,
I found the federal-hotel.com site quite good for listing a nubmer of hotels in this price range.

Thanks def345 for the advice! I have decided to stay for about 7 days and using Lourdes as the base to travel to other places.

We stayed at a nice budget place next to the tourist office called Hotel de Notre Dame du Sarrance on 7 rue de Bagneres ( Phone : 05 62 94 09 83 and Fax: 05 62 98 95 50) for 5 days last summer. It had a double bed, shower,WC, telephone, and elevator and free car park. for two people it was 42 Euros per night.
The bus stop is really close. We walked to postoffice to the market to the Shrine and all.
The owners are so sweet and they also offer a full and 1/2 pension It was wonderful Basque food! We stay there everytime we go there! If you do go tell %26quot;John de Sarrance%26quot; his %26quot;American couple from Washington%26quot; loves him and thinks of him all the time!
