Hotel Advise for 6th

Out of all the reccomendations on what area to stay in, my wife and I have decided on the 6th. But which hotel? Our budget is around $225 a night. We are going for 4 nights around June 1st. On the forums you read good and bad about every hotel, so it gets to a point where you just have to pick one and hope for the best. There are so many hotels to choose from. The reason why we picked the 6h is because of it%26#39;s location. We would like to narrow it down to 5 and just pick one out of a hat. I think that I am leaning on trip advisor%26#39;s rating scale to much. Thanks

Hi Steve,

6th and 5th (what is usually called Latin Quarter) are among the nicest areas, lots of old narrow streets, and you can basically walk to most of the sites (Louvre, Notre Dame, shops...). I agree 100% with the location!

Hotel prices have skyrocketed in Paris over the past 10 years, but with $225 a night you have more than enough for a charming place.

One important point is that many buildings in Paris center are old, with rather small (for US standards) rooms. So by charming I mean comfy, nicely decorated and quiet. And not lots of square meters per room like in a Marriott suite.

Hotel du pantheon and hotel des grands hommes(http://www.hoteldesgrandshommes.com and http://www.hoteldupantheon.com ) are under the same management. Booking online and for a %26quot;quiet%26quot; period they have very good discounts, I just book a room for a US supplier there at 145 euros (about $180).

Both Hotels have good reviews at Triadvisor, and none of my guests complained about them!

is based on a guidebook that has been published yearly over the past 20 years, and can give you additional ideas.

contrarily to the US, all prices you will see and get include taxes.

Enjoy your stay,

Didier

The Hôtel Bonaparte gets many strong reviews on the Fodor forums site. It%26#39;s very well located in the 6th.

If I were going to book an anniversary trip I would try for something on Ile St. Louis - a charming area, relatively quiet, and an easy walk to Notre Dame, etc.

Hi

there are not so many hotels in the 6th.

A list to check : the-languedoc-page.com/tourism/hotels-in-par…
