Looking for a good hotel - 4* - in the Dijon Beaune area with easy access from the autoroute.
Has anyone any suggestions please?
Thanks in antisipation.

Which autoroute? A38 from Paris or A31 from Reims, Nancy? Where are you going next?

Comming from Reims then continuing south to Avignon - we have done the trip on numerous ocassions but have stayed either to the north or south of Dijon/Beaune

I already suggested here hotel %26quot;la Flambée%26quot; 3* http://www.laflambee.fr/en-default.htm
La Flambée Best Western in the East of Dijon, not far from the freeway which goes down directly to the motorway to Lyon. The hotel looks nice and have a good reputation and a good restaurant as well, and a swimming pool....
The 4 stars like the Sofitel, Mercure and le Chapeau Rouge are in the town center, but it is never that far from the way south.
Happy travels! :-)

Many thanks for the input - really looking for independant/family owned hotels with an individual touch.

You%26#39;re welcome but promise me next time you%26#39;ll stop and spend some time in Dijon, it is so under rated!
Recently someonehere posted an article from the Washington post, please have a look!

We stayed at the La Cloche which is part of the Sofitel but full of charm. It is easy to drive from there. We loved Dijon and feel it has a great deal to offer. Loved the scale of the old town, its architecture, great restaurants and want to go back. It is so easy to walk the old town and really explore. Stayed 4 nights and were starting to think of buying a place there. The scale is liveable.
